IEEE International Art Design Competition – 2021

Research Institute for Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Studies (RIMMS) is a constituent Institute of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) offering graduate program as well as active research in the area of applied electromagnetics. The Institute hosts an active award-winning IEEE joint chapter of APS, MTT, EMC and CAS societies. Under the umbrella of this chapter, 1st IEEE International Art Design Competition is being launched to create awareness among young engineers and IEEE members about the area of RF & Microwave.

The competition is open to all undergraduate and graduate students. The contribution can be a concept of any piece of art (painting, mural, sculpture etc.) which depicts the area of RF and Microwave. The submission should only be in electronic form and can be of the concept design. It should also be demonstrated that the piece of art can be made within a budget of USD $ 300/-.

The submissions will be judged by an esteemed jury based on creativity, originality and aesthetic quality. The following prizes will be given to the top three positions:

1st Place: USD $ 150/-, 2nd Place: USD $ 100/-, 3rd Place: USD $ 50/-

The winners will be asked to design the actual piece of art for the display at RIMMS for which the amount (i.e., up to USD $ 300/- per winner) will be reimbursed. The decision will be announced in June 2021.
